1. Gold Chain
2. Buttons (matching pairs)
3. 4mm Gold Jump Rings
4. Safety Pins
5. Mini Flat Nose Pliers
6. Mini Clippers
5. Clear-dry Super Glue
(All are available at your local craft or bargain store)
Select the buttons which you would like to use.
Generally, buttons of the same kind which match the colour of the chain will work best.
Using the clippers cut three separate lengths of chain.
Here I have cut a 12cm, 13cm and 14cm chain.
Feel free to vary the lengths depending on how low you want the chains to drop.
Using the flat head pliers, dip the back of the safety pin in superglue, then attach it at a 45 degree angle against the base of the button hole.
Secure the safety pin by applying more superglue, then leave to dry for 5 minutes.
Repeat steps 3 & 4 for the second button.
While the buttons are drying, attach the ends of the three gold chains using a jump ring.
Attach the other end of the gold chains together using a jump ring.
Attach the chain to the button by hooking the jump ring through the button hole. Repeat for the other button.
Pin it on and rock your awesome Chained Collar Tip Brooch!
I did not know that you can make these things. Pretty :) xoxo KJ
