HOT DIGGITY-DING-DONG-DANG!

Exams are finally over! which means two very important things for me:

1. Watching all 6 seasons of Mad Men (currently half way through season 2)

2. More outfit posts!!!!

 

So, I have been getting into this new trend called necklace stacking/layering! Not totally sure where it originated from but absolutely no one does it better than @Dylanlex - a stylish duo consisting of two very cool and creative sisters residing in Hong Kong. I have always been a huge fan of statement jewellery and how you can style up any simple outfit with the perfect statement piece, taking a basic plain white tee and jeans from casual to instant chic! Necklace layering takes statement jewellery to the next level because it allows you to create your own multitude of designs to mix-and-match depending on the outfit you're wearing! I've started pretty simply by stacking 4 necklaces in this outfit. I find that they don't have to be attached to one another, but sometimes it helps when you want to add or take away length in order to get them sitting perfectly.

Winter is well and truly here! with temperatures failing to rise above 16 degrees Celsius along with hurricane like winds and monsoon worthy torrential rain! (ok, maybe I'm exaggerating... but for a Sydney-sider if its not warm and sunny you may as well be stuck in the middle of a cyclone!). The only good things about winter are, of course, jumpers and beanies! I just adore this cropped rib knit jumper from ASOS. It is the perfect shade of electric blue, a colour which I am insanely addicted to right now! and the fact that it is cropped makes it so flattering! (especially for those who are top heavy - keeps you from looking like a cube by showing off your waist). I matched this awesome jumper with my blue mirrored sunnies by Oakley and how awesome are these Valentino inspired shoes by Audace? They're great if you want that designer look on a student-sized budget!

So, now that exams are over I plan on doing weekly posts! No excuses! Until then - kiss kiss!
