Minty Fresh
(Pants by Zara, Crop Top by ASOS, Clutch by Peeptoe, Necklace & Bangles by Colette, Watch by Michael Kors, Sunglasses by Gucci and Shoes by Dotti)
-----------------------------------
What a beautiful day! Summer temps in the middle of Spring - amazing.
I bought these Zara pants almost 2 months ago on my girls weekend in Melbourne/shopping spree. I just love the green mint tone and the pleat detail which makes it stand out from just any other palazzo pant. I think this is my 4th pair - I just cant get enough. They are just so flattering and you cant help but feel like your walking around in a floor length gown!
This crop top is from the new ASOS summer collection which launched last week. I know its showing a lot of skin, even for a crop top - but I just adore the twist detailing and couldn't resist!
Anyway, off to the beach now to shed my winter skin. Maybe then I'll have the confidence to show off my legs in the net post!

WISH: Paradise Frontier S/12 Campaign
----------------------------
This stunning PARADISE FRONTIER campaign was shot on location in our own South Australia. The beautiful remote desert sets the scene for this mid-West inspired shoot. The collection is the perfect mix of flowy feminine opulence and strong structured pieces which I think sits perfectly against the rugged beauty of the Aussie outback. Makes me crave the sun and to be tanned again! Have I mentioned I am the palest I have been in years?
This campaign features rising star Texan Beauty Bay Berger who I had the pleasure of meeting at the Spring showing a few months ago. I also saw her earlier this year sharing the same catwalk with Aussie superstars Miranda Kerr, Jessica Gomez and Samantha Harris at the David Jones S/S catwalk show.
This collection is available now in retailers and online!
On another note, sorry about the absence of posts! I have just completed a months worth of law assessments and am finally free, free, FREE! - but only until the end of the month. Then it will start all over again for finals *cry*.

Fluoro meets Floral
(Neon Jacket by Bardot, Floral Pants by Bardot, Top by 1 & 20 Blackbirds, Shoes by Rubi, Clutch by Peeptoe, Watch by Michael Kors and Necklaces by Colette)
Bring on Bright!
------------------------------
Feeling ultra fluorescent in two of this seasons most popular trends - Fluoro and Floral!
The fluoro trend has been around for a while, and to be honest I had mixed feelings about it. When I first thought of fluoro, I thought of the 80s and every negative connotation that came from that decade relating to fashion. Let's face it, the 80s were a time of MC hammer pants, leg warmers and shoulder pads, all of which screamed cheap, cheap cheap!
But at least one thing can be said about 80s fashion - it was fun! Big colour and colour mixed in unusual ways was the norm - not too far off from what we are seeing on the run way today. But this time I think we've learnt from past mistakes and these days fluoro can be done so may different ways. For those who are a little colour shy, you can wear it with neutrals, contrast with black or just add fluro accessories to an outfit. And for those who love colour and are not afraid of looking like a rainbow threw up all over you (in a good way) colour blocking hot pink, citron yellow and lime green shades will definitely create a strong and bold look!

Spring-piration!
My top picks for Spring 2012 trends!
Which one is your favourite?
1. Flower Power
Yes, floral is back this spring - but this time its bigger and bolder than ever. Long gone are the days of the ultra-feminine flirty floral, in 2012 we are seeing a much more vibrant and flower-powered update on this classic trend. The colour selection is endless and the tropical floral print is being embraced with open arms. One definate staple for spring (before it gets too hot) are floral pants. Dressed them up with a simple blazer and heels for a chic look, or dress them down with a flowly top and strappy sandals!
2. Pastel Clash
Pastels consist of a soft palette of sorbet shades and candy hues which are sweet enough to eat! Although we’ve seen this trend throughout winter, I am sure it will follow through spring and even summer. This trend signifies femininity and also look great on any skin tone. Pastels are notorious for its ability to be colour blocked, and worn head-to-toe, yet appearing very subtle and effortless at the same time. However, if pastel on steriods is not for you, they also work amazingly with neutrals – black and grey for edge or white and nude for a more romantic look.
3. Digital Print
Vibrant and attention grabbing digital prints are going to be everywhere this season! From pants to blouses and from tunics to shorts, this print is sure to make a huge impact. One step above florals in edgyness factor, digital prints are sure to make you stand out from the crowd!
4. Lovely in Lace
No longer reserved for wedding dresses (and the wedding night), lace is definitely a favourite this season. and is perfect for that innocent baby doll look. Even though anything lace is all the rage right now, it is especially true when it comes to 'that' black lace dress. This semi-transparent material is always undeniably sexy, and if worn correctly can exude sophistication.
5. Minty Fresh
Mint green is exploding on to the spring/summer trend list! This lovely shade of blue-green blend exudes a light and airy freshness. I am a fan of mint-on-mint, but it also works amazingly with many colours and textures, especially white lace or even metallic silver!
6. Metallic Shine
The Olympics may be over, but metallics are also making a statement in gold, silver and bronze. From shimmering pants to leather shift dresses and flowy fall length gowns. If you have a warmer complextion go for gold, and for pale skin, silver tends to be more complementary. And for those who find head-to-toe metallic to be a little daunting - don't stress! You can keep it simple by playing with metallic accessories like a clutch, a belt and of course shoes!

Embrace Lace
(Top & Skirt by 1&20 Blackbirds, Scalloped Tights by ASOS, Bag by Marc by Marc Jacobs, Shoes by Spurr, Watch by Michael Kors, Necklace & Ring by Peeptoe and Ring by Bardot).
Lovely in Lace
-------------------------------------------
Today I tapped into the lace trend I think we will be seeing a lot over the upcoming warmer seasons. No longer reserved for wedding dresses (and the wedding night), this semi-transparent material is always undeniably sexy, and if worn correctly can exude sophistication. I paired up the black lace with this pink flowy skirt to create a more sweet and innocent look, but if you want to edge it up a bit I recommend pairing it with either bright bold colours or play with textures by pairing it with leather or even metallic fabrics.
I also bought my first pair of lace up boots! I've always wanted a pair but doubted whether I am 'edgy' enough to pull them off. But I decided to bite the bullet and clicked the mouse. I think they are officially my tallest heel - there was a point where I rolled my ankle and feared some prolonged shoe related injury, but in the end I prevailed limp-free! My final verdict?
Love em'!
